The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS) administrative and support staff were fêted at the third annual FMHS Community Celebration on June 11 at Molson Stadium. This year’s event, attended by over 300 members of the admin staff as well as leaders from across the Faculty – including, for the first time, a joint celebration with the Campus Outaouais team – had a picnic theme, with tea sandwiches and veggies and hummus and activities galore, including ultimate frisbee, mini putt and giant jenga, as well as stretching exercises, therapy dogs, wellness booths and much, much more. Please check out photos from the event below!
Lesley Fellows, Vice-President (Health Affairs) and Dean of the FMHS, and Demetra Kafantaris, Executive Director, Administration and Operations, FMHS, kicked off proceedings with heartfelt thanks to admin and support staff members for their professionalism and dedication. They also gave a shoutout to the organizing committee and the army of red-pinnied volunteers running the show before officially opening the activity circuit and food and beverage kiosks. Later in the afternoon, an array of wonderful door prizes were drawn, donated by our extraordinarily generous sponsors – thank you! (Read about the sponsors and the winners here.)
