Tamara Granner, who is entering her final year of undergraduate studies in anatomy and cell biology at McGill University, was the recipient of the first scholarship awarded by Student Vision Canada.
Student Vision Canada is a vision research charitable foundation founded in 2007 by Patrick Logan and Shawn Maloney, two McGill doctoral students researching visual ailments.
“The reason I applied for scholarship is that I wanted to see what the research world is like,” said Granner, 21. She described the stint as “an amazing experience.”

Student Vision Canada est une œuvre de bienfaisance pour la recherche en vision, fondée en 2007 par Patrick Logan and Shawn Maloney, deux étudiants doctoraux faisant des recherches sur les maladies oculaires.
« La raison pour laquelle j’ai postulé c’est parce que je voulais comprendre c’est quoi le monde de la recherche», a dit Granner, âgée de 21 ans. Elle que l’expérience était extraordinaire.
