McGill Department of Psychiatry

2nd RESIDENT RESEARCH DAY

This day will be a great opportunity for Psychiatry Residents to present their research projects and findings, and interact with researchers from the Department of Psychiatry. In a time when the number of clinician scientists tend to stagnate, it is our duty to support research conducted by residents and help them become effective clinician scientists. Also during the day, the 4 new residents selected for the following research-track program year have been asked to introduce themselves, their background and interests, with the aim to find a research supervisor. A great opportunity to recruit a hardworking (and funded) student, with protected time for research (yes, I know, never enough!) We will also welcome a guest speaker, Dr Raymond Lam form UBC, who will speak about his own career as a successful clinician scientist. This will undoubtedly be stimulating for residents (and former residents). Finally, research awards from the department will be given including resident, early career and fellow awards, and award holders will present their work. Bref, une nouvelle occasion de célébrer le dynamisme de la recherche McGilloise en psychiatrie.

Please confirm your presence ASAP (for catering purposes) to diane.longtin@douglas.mcgill.ca. Limited number of places.
