The McGill Postgraduate Fellowship in Health Sciences Education is a twelve-month program designed to prepare McGill postgraduate trainees for educational roles in academic medicine. The program is intended to complement ongoing education in an approved McGill postgraduate training program and to prepare trainees for education leadership roles in a university setting.
The goal of the program is to provide a setting for postgraduate trainees interested in health sciences education to:
· Increase their knowledge and expertise in educational principles and practices.
· Develop skills and expertise in health sciences education research.
· Prepare themselves for a career which features significant involvement in educational leadership, practice and research.
A concentration in simulation-based education is also possible during this Fellowship program.
Successful completion of the Fellowship will be recognized with a certificate of attestation.
Candidates must be registered in an approved postgraduate program at McGill University. Each applicant must provide a letter of eligibility from the Residency Program Director or the equivalent for the Schools of Nursing, Physical and Occupational Therapy, and Communications Sciences and Disorders.

All applications will be reviewed by the Health Sciences Education Fellowship Selection Committee. Eligible candidates will be interviewed by the Selection Committee and all applicants will be notified.
