Sally Thorne - April 8Currently a Professor at the UBC School of Nursing in Vancouver where she has maintained a longstanding program of substantive and methodological  scholarship in the philosophy of science, the nature of evidence, applied methodology and patient experience, Dr. Thorne has served in senior academic leadership capacities and played a key role on numerous policy boards, including the BC Cancer Agency, the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer, and the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research.
