Dear colleagues,
I trust that you have received e-mails from the McGill-Centraide 2024 Campaign in the past few weeks. This university-wide fundraising effort aims to raise $425,000 for Centraide of Greater Montreal this year. Known as the United Way in other parts of North America, Centraide assists over 375 community organizations and projects in Montreal, in Laval, and on the South Shore.
As we head into the final stretch of the campaign, we would love to see McGill do its part to reduce poverty and increase inclusivity across the wider community. With your support in spreading the word, you could help improve participation within your unit, compounding the positive impact of each donation.
Of course, you can also help by donating yourself. The e-mail you received from the Co-Chairs of the campaign, Christopher Manfredi and Viviane Yargeau, includes a link for a one-time credit card donation, open until December 31st. Donations of more than $20 entitle you to a tax receipt through Centraide if payment is made by credit card.

We also invite you to visit the McGill Centraide website for on-going activities, including the PWHL raffle tickets. There are two pairs of tickets, giving you two chances to win, to see the Victoire de Montréal take on the Minnesota Frost at Place Bell in Laval on January 17th, 7:00 pm. The raffle is open until Dec. 20th at noon. The winners will be notified later in the day.
Since the campaign remains open until the end of December, there is still an opportunity to remind community members of the positive impact they can have on the eve of the holidays.
