“Intercultural Health Research”

Speaker: Dr. Germán Zuluaga

Dr. Germán Zuluaga is a Colombian physician and epidemiologist based at the Universidad del Rosario in Bogota, where he directs the Centre for Intercultural Health Studies (CEMI).  His professional practice over two decades has included dialogue with and studies under the guidance of traditional healers, building a bridge between their science and Western sciences. After completing his medical education, he studied ecology, anthropology and ethnobotany. He has published a dozen books on the application of these disciplines to intercultural health research.
