Jun. 5, 2010 – 7:00 PM to 11:30 PM. McGill will host the inaugural Goodman Cancer Research Gala to celebrate the Centre’s accomplishments and raise vital funds to support tomorrow’s cancer breakthroughs.

This prestigious fundraising event, hosted by the Faculty of Medicine and Rosalind and Morris Goodman, will bring together many influential and philanthropic Montrealers and other individuals from across Canada who are committed to advancing cancer research.

Gala Dinner Chair Dr. Bernard Shapiro is a member of the Orders of both Canada and Quebec, and Principal Emeritus of McGill. He will be joined by our master of ceremony, Derek Drummond, McGill’s ever-popular moderator for events like the Leacock Luncheon, whose quick quip delivery and cutting comedic lip are legendary. Gala Chair Penny Echenberg embraces the evening as an opportunity to support McGill University and her unwavering commitment to help find a cure for cancer. Gala Fundraising Chair Marvin Corber continues to demonstrate his outstanding dedication to his community, this time lending his energy and vision to cancer research and improved patient care.
