The Role of Professional Education in Research-Intensive Universities

Professional fields such as physical and occupational therapy and rehabilitation are filled with unsung heroes. Through individual passion, discipline and dedication, these individuals change lives and accumulate practical wisdom. It is not enough for this experience to remain in the field, however. As professions mature and advance, they must blend the art of practice with a rigorous evidence base about what works.
