Tamer Abdel Fatah, a PhD student in biological and biomedical engineering at McGill University, is the winner of the Relève étoile Jacques-Genest award of the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS) – (Principal co-author: Mahsa Jalali, McGill University). His Award-winning publication Nanoplasmonic amplification in microfluidics enables accelerated colorimetric quantification of nucleic acid biomarkers from pathogens is published in Nature Nanotechnology.
