Michael Shamash, a M.Sc. student in Microbiology and Immunology at McGill University, is the winner of the Relève étoile Louis-Berlinguet award of the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Nature and Technologies (FRQNT). His Award-winning publication: Phages in the infant gut: a framework for virome development during early life (see summary) is published in The ISME Journal.

The Relève étoile awards are being given by the three Fonds de recherche du Québec to recognize student researchers in training.
