I am pleased to announce the appointment of Ursulla Aho-Glele to the position of associate director of Education and Simulation.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Caroline White for taking on this role in the interim period. We are most appreciative. Caroline has supported the teams and has worked closely with Dr. Elene Khalil to implement the MUHC Centre for Interprofessional Simulation. She will continue to be involved in the Education Directorate in her role as Simulation Specialist Advisor. I also would like to thank Annabelle Nam for taking on the role of Simulation Specialist Advisor in the interim.
As Associate Director, Ursulla will help promote a supportive learning environment for students in all disciplines, whether training in medicine, nursing or allied health professions at the MUHC (adult and pediatric). She will collaborate in the development of teaching and training programs following a continuum logic that meets the needs of learners, teams, and the organization.
Ursulla has several years of experience in various management positions within the healthcare system, notably as the head of University Education and Medical Internships at Montreal West Island Integrated University Health and Social Services Centre. She has implemented several key projects to support the teaching mission within this organization. Holding a PhD in public health and a master’s in health leadership, she has also worked in both academic and governmental domains.
Please join me in welcoming Ursulla as associate director of Education and Simulation.
