Sunday, Sept 20, 35 runners from McGill’s Rosalind and Morris Goodman Cancer Research Centre (GCRC) gathered in the Old Port of Montreal and participated in the 35th Annual Terry Fox Run.
The team, the GCRC Foxtrotters, set a fundraising goal of $10,000 this year and enlisted the support of downtown restaurant Grillado’s Poulet Grillé Peri Peri to help them reach their objective. Through a combination of bake sales, community outreach, and Grillado’s generous pledge of $5K, this year the GCRC Foxtrotters have successfully raised $13,700 – well surpassing their original goal.
