In April 2015, following years of preparation, the move of the MUHC into the Glen site will begin in earnest when the Royal Victoria Hospital closes its doors and patients begin to be seen at the Glen.
Patients will be transferred to the new site via ambulance on the day of the move in what is being hailed as a move of unprecedented complexity. In the weeks that follow, the other hospitals making the move will close and patients will be moved in turn.
