Nearly 300 Ingram School of Nursing (ISoN) students (BNI, BScN and QY) gathered in Moyse Hall Theatre on Thursday, September 20, 2018, for the fourth annual Nursing Professionalism Ceremony.

This is an important event marking our students’ entry into the Ingram School of Nursing, and welcoming them into the nursing profession with pride. It is also an occasion for McGill Nursing faculty to show their support and recognition of each student’s commitment to the nursing profession, with the recitation of an oath and the symbolic pinning of their nametag–which must be worn during future clinical stages–commemorated with a photograph.

This year, distinguished guests gave remarks, including Dr. David Eidelman (Vice-Principal (Health Affairs); Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Mr. Richard Ingram; longstanding donor and supporter of the ISoN, and Madame Lucie Tremblay; president of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ), as well as Dr. Anita J. Gagnon, Associate Dean (Faculty of Medicine); Director of the Ingram School of Nursing, Dr. Franco Carnevale, Professor at the Ingram School of Nursing, and Madeleine Buck, BScN Program Director and Associate Professor at the Ingram School of Nursing, who acted as emcee of the event.

In case you missed it, you can watch the livestream video of the event on Youtube.

Here are a selection of photos taken at the event. Please note that photographs of individual students with their program director/assistant program director will be sent to each student individually at a later date by the Nursing Student Affairs Office.
