Clément Gignac, Minister of economic development, innovation and exploration, says he is proud that a researcher with an international reputation, Rémi Quirion, has been appointed as the very first Quebec chief scientist and Chairman of the boards of directors of the Quebec Research Funds. This appointment is part of the implementation, from this past July 1st, of some articles of Bill 130 on the abolition and reorganization of certain organizations and funds.
