Message sent on behalf of Demetra Kafantaris, Executive Director, Administration and Operations:

Dear Colleagues,

As communicated in August by Fabrice Labeau, McGill’s Deputy Provost (Student Life and Learning), McGill is currently in Phase 5 in the ramp-up of campus activities. During this phase, which targets a gradual return to campus of up to 25 to 30% occupancy, our focus is on student-facing and essential needs only.

Please note that all requests to resume activities must be accompanied by a resumption plan outlining measures to ensure health and safety. To facilitate the development of plans and the approval process, we ask anyone who intends to make a request to first discuss it with their supervisors, and then submit the request via this dedicated Faculty webpage based on the applicable instructions and template located there. The same applies for one-time, short-duration entry requests. Only requests submitted as per the webpage and instructions will be considered.*

Note: the process for the resumption of research activities remains the same; the only difference is you can now also access it via the new webpage.

Please understand that each request requires careful processing and planning that, depending on the activity, will take time. Also note that, as per the University directives currently in place, not all requests may be approved at this juncture. Thank you, in advance, for your understanding and patience.

Importantly, if your activity is approved and confirmed by the Faculty’s Operationalization Committee (OPC), it is imperative that you rigorously apply the University directives related to preventing the spread of COVID-19 within your unit at all times.

*Please note, as indicated in the website templates, the email address for all non-research activities and one-time, short-duration entry is opc.medicine@mcgill.ca.

Thank you in advance for your collaboration.

Demetra Kafantaris, MBA

Executive Director, Administration and Operations
