The source of health sciences history for McGill’s Faculty of Medicine
In the latest issue of the Osler Library Newsletter, Dr. Peter Macklem, Emeritus Professor of Medicine who recently passed away, profiles 17th century physician-scientist Stephen Hales, the first to measure blood pressure and the father of morphometry.

Also featured in this issue are the latest activities, discussions and writings stemming from the Faculty’s Osler Library of the History of Medicine.

Published since 1969, the Osler Library Newsletter is a forum to discuss the life and writings of Sir William Osler, and more generally, subjects pertaining to the Osler Library and its collections.
