With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month and, at the same time, Montreal hosting the Second International Congress on Whole Person Care from October 12 to 15, Dr. Sarkis Meterissian, Professor of Surgery and Oncology at McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine, writes in the Montreal Gazette of the need for the government to provide funding for whole person care when it comes to cancer in order to truly treat the human being inflicted with a disease rather than merely the disease itself.
