Dear Colleagues,
This is to remind you that the next Faculty Council meeting takes place Monday, September 23, 2019 at 4:30 p.m. at the McIntyre Medical Sciences Building (Room 1034, 10th floor), 3655 Promenade Sir-William-Osler. The Faculty Council meeting is open to all members of the Faculty, including students and residents, and will be recorded. The agenda and supporting documents are now available on the Faculty of Medicine website here.
Topics to be covered at this meeting include the following, among others:
- MedComm – a student-led project to address the need for interpretation services between health professionals and patients
- Win4Science update – an initiative that explores the causes and potential solutions for the gender gap in academic science
- Faculty Code of Conduct – an overview of the 2019 update, key takeaways and responsibilities
- A motion related to a proposed change to the Faculty of Medicine name (as referenced in the May 21 Faculty Council presentation, slide 91, and minutes, page 4)
To manage flow, we ask that you arrive a few minutes early. The meeting will begin promptly at 4:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be available outside the meeting room.
