In celebration of National Senior Day, the Quebec Community Groups Network, in cooperation with Seniors Action Quebec, will be holding an Information Fair that aims to encourage seniors to remain healthy and active by becoming involved in their communities. The event will take place on Monday October 1, 2012 at the Holiday Inn Midtown.

The main focus of our event is to create a win-win situation for our community by connecting seniors with volunteer activities that keep them healthy and active while, at the same time, providing services that benefit the community. Our information fair will also allow seniors to become familiar with community programs and services while learning about businesses and organizations that provide services to English-speaking seniors.  The event will also feature conferences on healthy active aging and the personal and community benefits of volunteering.

A preliminary program released includes expected conferences held by; Dr. Mitch Shulman, Debra Arbec,  Suzanne Garon, Bill Haugland,  and Dr. Serge Gauthier
