RI-MUHC researcher earns distinctions from the European League Against Rheumatism, Laurentian Conference of Rheumatology and McGill University

Dr. Évelyne Vinet received the 50th Anniversary Young Investigator Award at the Laurentian Conference of Rheumatology held in Estérel, Quebec, from May 9 to 11, where she gave an invited talk on “Lupus: a case of female discrimination.” The award recognizes her outstanding contributions to the field of reproductive health in rheumatic diseases.
In June, Dr. Vinet’s oral presentation on serious infection in offspring exposed to tofacitinib and non-TNFi biologics was also featured in the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) Clinical Highlight Sessions, which highlights the most relevant and scientifically sound contributions presented during the congress. The EULAR annual meeting is the world’s largest in rheumatology and was held this year in Madrid, Spain.
On June 13 Dr. Vinet was also awarded the Department of Medicine Early Career Staff Research Award by McGill University. This award recognizes excellence in research by a Department of Medicine staff member within 10 years of completion of training.
Dr. Vinet is a member of the Infectious Diseases and Immunity in Global Health Program at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre and conducts research at the Centre for Outcomes Research and Evaluation.
