On Tuesday, May 3, the 66-year-old Hollywood star was guest of honour at McGill’s 17th Annual Head and Neck Cancer Fundraiser. The event succeeded in raising close to 2 million dollars, proceeds that will benefit McGill and its affiliated teaching hospitals. Last August, doctors from Montreal’s Jewish General Hospital diagnosed Michael Douglas’ throat cancer.

It’s at the chic Le Windsor on Peel Street in Montreal that the Wall Street star participated in this benefit event organized by Dr. Saul Frenkiel, Professor and Chair of the McGill Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, Chief of the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, at the Jewish General Hospital and the MUHC.
