To all McGill Faculty of Medicine faculty members, residents and staff who teach, supervise or support UGME students:

In the context of the Faculty’s overall governance and undergraduate medical education (UGME) accreditation requirements, we ask that you closely read the Workload Policy, together with three recently updated policies, at the links below.

In the UGME accreditation survey last June, several breaches were cited with respect to the Workload Policy, which detrimentally contributed to the program’s current probationary status.

All McGill Faculty of Medicine members who teach or supervise UGME students must adhere to UGME policies at all times. Similarly, residents who supervise students must also comply with these policies, and support staff must be aware of their provisions.

Thank you, in advance, for ensuring you are fully apprised of your responsibilities and in compliance with these policies.
