What did you love most about studying at McGill and/or in the Faculty of Medicine?
I loved gaining hands-on experience through the many clinical placement opportunities. It helped me feel a lot more confident and prepared to enter the field.
If you could change one thing in the world to make it better, what would you choose?
A fairer distribution of wealth so that everyone has access to their basic needs and quality care.
Your fave place to eat?
Nouilles de Zhonghua is one of my favourite restaurants in Montreal, and it’s right next-door to the SLP department!
Any shoutouts?
Shoutout to the amazing women in my cohort – you made this journey so much better with your support, teamwork and good vibes. I’ve learned so much alongside you and gained friendships that will last well beyond this program.
Top tip for incoming students in your program?
Receiving lots of feedback is an important part of the program. Be open to feedback and don’t let it define your worth. Embrace the learning process and give yourself grace.
What’s next for you?
I plan to continue working as a school Speech-Language Pathologist! I love my job!
