“Medical faculties do not operate in a vacuum,” says Dr. David Eidelman, Vice-principal (Health Affairs) and Dean of McGill’s Faculty of Medicine. “One of our missions is to serve the needs of the public. In Quebec, like everywhere else, there are huge needs to be met in frontline care. Indeed, the government has made frontline care one of its priorities, and since we are aware that there is a shortage of family physicians, we have really changed our approach.”
