All students planning an activity abroad outside Canada must attend the “Pre-departure Orientation Workshop”: http://www.mcgill.ca/students/international/predeparture/.
Eligibility criteria for the Undergraduate Medicine Travel awards include:
OMAF Scholarship
– McGill medical student of any year
– Undertaking a service-learning or clinical elective overseas for a minimum duration of 4 weeks
– Applying for support for travel and accommodation expenses
The Medical Class of ’84 Student Bursary
– McGill medical student in Med3 or Med4
– Undertaking an elective in a developing country
– Applying for support for travel and accommodation expenses
The Medical Class of ’65
– McGill medical student of any year
– Pursuing research or clinical electives overseas
The Ashworth Student Travel Award
– McGill medical student in Med3 or Med4
– Undertaking their elective clinical clerkship in a developing country or in remote regions of Canada
