For the third consecutive year, McGill is featured among Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2011. The annual competition is conducted by Mediacorp Canada, the country’s largest publisher of specialized employment information aimed at senior-level human resources professionals.
McGill’s efforts in sustainability – more specifically, the transformation of McTavish Street as a pedestrian zone next to campus – played a key role in this year’s selection. Among the criteria in choosing the top employers in Canada, competition officials examined a variety of areas including health and wellbeing, and the overall atmosphere of working in these organizations.
A blue-ribbon Academic Advisory Board oversees the selection criteria for each year’s Canada’s Top 100 Employers competition.
