The Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC) has signed an agreement with McGill University to implement a physiotherapy program in the Saguenay region for next September.
The Université du Québec à Chicoutimi will train competent physiotherapists, relying on the expertise of McGill University’s School of Physical and Occupational Therapy and the collaboration of the regional healthcare network partners of the greater Saguenay, Lac Saint-Jean and North Shore region.
McGill University’s School of Physical and Occupational Therapy has 700 students, 60% of which are francophones.
“We are delighted to establish this large-scale collaboration between our institutions,” declared Professor Heather Munroe-Blum, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of McGill University. “This major partnership was made possible by the leadership shown by the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi and McGill University’s School of Physical and Occupational Therapy and Faculty of Medicine. We are confident that this project will lay the foundations essential to future collaborations, in other disciplines, between UQAC and McGill University.”

L’Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC) a signé une entente avec l’Université McGill pour l’implantation d’une formation en physiothérapie à Saguenay en septembre prochain.
L’Université du Québec à Chicoutimi formera des physiothérapeutes compétents grâce à l’expertise de l’École de physiothérapie et d’ergothérapie de l’Université McGill et la collaboration des partenaires régionaux du réseau de la santé de la grande région Saguenay, Lac Saint-Jean et Côte-Nord.
L’École de physiothérapie et d’ergothérapie de l’Université McGill à Montréal compte 700 étudiants, dont 60 % sont francophones.
