A crew from téléquébec assisted live to a session of long-distance anesthesia, or “télé-anesthesia”, practiced by Dr. Thomas Hemmerling and his team from the Department of Anesthesia at McGill.

Dr. Hemmerling aims to put to sleep a patient located 6,000 kilometres away. Everything will be done by computers, via the web.

After an short conversation with the team in Pisa Italy, the anesthesia begins.
