I am pleased to announce the appointment of Jordana Saada Bensemana to the position of Associate Director, Administrative Excellence Centre (AEC) 11, supporting the Ingram School of Nursing, the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy and the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders, Faculty of Medicine, McGill University, effective July 3, 2017. Ms. Saada Bensemana replaces Ms. Gracy Pardillo who had been serving in this role on an interim basis since 2016.

Jordana Saada Bensemana received her nursing degree from Vanier College in Montreal in 2004 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Victoria via distance education.  She began working as a nurse in 2002 with stops across the Montreal health care network, including at the Jewish General Hospital. From 2008 to 2010 she worked as a quality assurance and risk management nurse at the Mount Sinai Hospital Center before joining Accès Services Santéjh, inc. for two years where she provided quality assurance and training. In 2012 she joined Medaxis,inc. first as Chief Field Case Manager and most recently as Director of Patient Programs, a position she held from 2013 until joining McGill.

As Associate Director of this AEC, Ms. Saada Bensemana will provide administrative and strategic planning support to the directors of the Ingram School of Nursing, the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy and the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders. She will lead and oversee the financial and HR specialists assigned to these schools to provide a high level of quality and service. Ms. Saada Bensemana will be the senior advisor to the school directors, with delegated responsibility to administer all human resources and financial activities, while promoting the Faculty’s and McGill’s policies and procedures.

Ms. Saada Bensemana will also assist in the strategic development of new academic programs, and the establishment of departmental goals. She will support the development of business plans and programs at the schools by writing proposals, conducting analyses and liaising with the Faculty’s executive administration, the University and external partners.
