I am delighted to announce that Joanne Leebosh has assumed the position of Director of Development, Faculty of Medicine, on an interim basis. In this role, Joanne is responsible for all aspects of fundraising for the Faculty. She continues to carry a portfolio of Major Gifts donors and prospects and manages all Faculty-based development staff. Joanne reports jointly to me and to Anne Carbonneau, Managing Director, Development Programs, in Martlet.

Joanne began working at DAR in 2005, coming to McGill with extensive experience in several not-for-profit organizations. In 2008, Joanne took on the role of Senior Development Officer, Regional Major Gifts; her most recent position has been Associate Director, Development – Faculty of Medicine, where she has held Major Gifts responsibility as well as management responsibility for the Annual Fund and Development Associate functions. Joanne’s proven track record in building relationships and fundraising at all levels, her management and mentoring experience as well as her knowledge of the Faculty position her well to assume this interim role. Joanne holds a Bachelor of Education from McGill University as well as a Certified Association Executive (CAE) from the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.

Please join me in wishing Joanne the best of success in this position.
