Peacefully at Rideaucrest Nursing Home in Kingston. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy More (nee McOrmond). Son of Robert and Nellie More (nee Lackner) of Kitchener. Beloved father of David (Donna), Patricia (Richard), the late Christopher and grandfather of Claire.

Robert (Bob) had a distinguished academic career. He received his MD from University of Toronto in 1939. He was Professor and Head of the Department of Pathology, Queen’s University 1951-67 and Chairman of Pathology at McGill University 1967-76. He was a renowned teacher and researcher in atherosclerosis and a tireless volunteer in his profession and for his church; President, Ontario Association of Pathologists, President, International Academy of Pathology, founder and Honourary President of Canadian Atherosclerosis Society, Professor Emeritus of McGill University, Elder, Collins Bay United Church, Chairman, New Church Feasibility Committee, Edith Rankin Memorial United Church Elder, Maintown United Church. An annual research award in his name is established at McGill University and the Library of Queen’s University Pathology Department was named in his honour.

He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and colleagues but he is now reunited with his beloved wife Dorothy and his cherished son, Christopher. Predeceased by brother Kenneth, sister Evelyn and nephew Gregory. Survived by sister Lillian and sister-in-law Noreen. Memorial service will be private for immediate family only.

Interment will follow at Sand Lake Cemetery. Donations to the Parkinson Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.
