This National Indigenous History Month, we honour Dr. George Bomberry, Kanyen’kehàka, Six Nations, who is thought to have been McGill’s and the Faculty’s first Indigenous graduate. Part of the Medicine Class of 1875 (it’s uncertain if Dr. Bomberry is present in the med class photo above), the brilliant young doctor was hired by Six Nations after graduation.
