On November 28, 2013 the CIHR announced the awarding of an $8.7 million grant towards the search for an AIDS cure to a national team led by Dr. Eric Cohen from the Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal. McGill University Faculty of Medicine Drs. Jean-Pierre Routy, Anne Gatignol and Mark Wainberg are among members of the expert team on the project, comprised of 26 scientists and researchers representing 10 universities and research affiliates.
