Dear colleagues,

As your Faculty of Medicine’s 2014 Centraide representatives we are excited to start the fundraising season with a bang!

This year’s Centraide campaign began October 1st and runs until December 1st. During this time we will be asking you, our Faculty of Medicine colleagues to participate in several fundraising activities for this worthy cause.

2014 centraide poster - 2Want to bake?

We will be holding four bake sales (November 7th, 14th 21st and 28th) .  All bake sales will take place at the McIntyre Building, outside the 5th floor cafeteria.

We are asking for your participation by contributing baked goods in support of the Centraide campaign. If you would like to make something we would ask that you make a dozen, with an ingredient list. All items will be sold for $1 / $2 a piece and each bake sale will run from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m.

Jeans Day!

Similar to last year, for the month of November you are invited to wear jeans every Friday. For a donation of $5 you can wear your jeans and show your support! “Jean Fridays” may be purchased in advance or on the actual day. Please hand-in your money to your supervisor.

We look forward to seeing you over the next weeks and thank you for supporting this year’s Centraide campaign! If you are able to volunteer for any of the events please let us know – any and all help is appreciated!

Did you know that…
By giving to Centraide of Greater Montreal, you are supporting a network of 370 community agencies as well as many causes and vulnerable groups in Montreal, in Laval and on the South Shore? The agencies funded by Centraide address important social issues, including poverty, hunger, homelessness, substance abuse, mental health problems and exclusion.
The money donated to Centraide goes to help 500,000 people, including children, women, men and persons with disabilities.

Sincerely,

Tasha Ayinde and Leo Teatero
