Graduate students from our Faculty were recognized at this year’s Canadian Student Health Research Forum (CSHRF), hosted online in June by the University of Manitoba, for their outstanding poster presentations as part of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) National Research Poster Competition. Participating McGill students also attended a CIHR-sponsored Career Development Workshop, as well as a research symposium and small group sessions with recent Gairdner Award winners.
Stephanie Mouchbahani-Constance, a PhD candidate in McGill’s Department of Physiology, and Fan Huang, a senior PhD student in the Division of Experimental Medicine, each won a Gairdner Prize and Gold Poster Award. Ms. Mouchbahani-Constance also won the Lindau Award.
Marie-Ève Bolduc, a PhD candidate in Rehabilitation Sciences, and Muthu Lakshmi, a PhD candidate in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, also came home with Gold Poster Awards. Silver Poster Awards went to Hao Yu Chen, a PhD candidate in Experimental Medicine, and Shriya Deshmukh, an MDCM/PhD candidate in Experimental Medicine.
