The creator of modern medical training, the innovator of the blood bank, the co-developer of an anti-AIDS drug, or one of Canada’s earliest female medical graduates – who would you choose as the greatest McGillian? The McGill Alumni Association is giving you the chance to cast your vote and choose among the more than twenty stellar finalists from varied backgrounds and professions. This is your chance to honour William Osler, Charles R. Drew, Bernard Belleau, Maude Abbott, or any of the three other members of the Faculty of Medicine who have made it on the list.
The McGill Alumni Association launched the Greatest McGillian earlier this year, as a way to celebrate the University’s 190th anniversary. A call for nominations was sent out and 20 finalists were chosen – among them many notables from the Faculty of Medicine, people who over the years have impacted the world.
