Barry Posner portrait McGillDr. Barry I. Posner, Professor of Medicine, Anatomy & Cell Biology, and Director of the Polypeptide and Protein Hormone Laboratory at McGill University is the recipient of the Canadian Diabetes Association’s 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award.

Dr. Posner joined McGill’s Faculty of Medicine in 1970 and became full Professor and Senior Physician by 1979. He was Director of the McGill Endocrine training program and physician-in-chief at the Sir Mortimer B. Davis Jewish General Hospital and currently serves as the Associate Director of the Montréal Diabetes Research Center.

The Clinical and Scientific Section (C&SS) of the Canadian Diabetes Association established the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007 for the purpose of recognizing Canadian achievement for a lifetime commitment to research excellence.
