Dear colleagues,

I am writing today to inform you that our dear colleague Gracy Pardillo, Senior Project Manager for our Faculty’s Administrative Excellence Centres (AECs), was offered and accepted the great opportunity of becoming the Controller for Concordia University, a mandate she started today, August 7.

Gracy, a Certified Public Accountant, joined McGill University in 2005 in the Internal Audit Department and moved thereafter onto the Central Finance team where she worked on different finance-related projects until 2012. We then invited her to take on the important mandate of deploying our new Administrative Excellence Centre structure, which was critical in light of the compliance challenge we were facing at the time.

Gracy made a success of our Faculty’s initiative: over the course of the four years she spent with us, she allowed for the AECs to be created, staffed and operated, for compliance to drastically improve and for greater efficiency to be developed. Her sense of diplomacy, her dynamic approach and her resilience made her the champion of the administrative restructuring she undertook for our Faculty. Her good mood and her sense of humour were contagious and made her a great colleague to work with. We are extremely grateful for Gracy’s contribution and wish her a lot of success in her new functions.

In the context where the Administrative Excellence Centres are well established and are no longer considered a project, we are currently evaluating the opportunity of integrating into or adapting the Senior Project Manager position to the administrative structure of our Faculty. We will keep you informed of further developments on this subject.

Please do not hesitate to communicate with me should you have any questions or comments.

Regards,

Pascale Mongrain, CPA-CA, Lawyer
Executive Director, Faculty of Medicine
