We are pleased to announce that Dean Anderson has been appointed to the newly created position of Associate Director, Operations for Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) at McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine.

In this role, Dean will report to the Catherine Millar, Director, Administration and Operations, Medical Education. His responsibilities include developing and ensuring implementation of new initiatives in support of PGME’s strategic plan, streamlining administrative processes with the aim of improving services to the PGME community and establishing an effective mechanism of communication between the central PGME Office and the clinical Administrative Excellence Centres (AECs) supporting residency training programs.

Throughout the course of his career, Dean has led several operational groups at various financial institutions. At the Royal Bank of Canada, he managed teams in both telemarketing and client accounting and was Manager of Asset Management Operations at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Most recently, he was Manager of Garnishments and Collections at the Bank of Montreal. Dean has extensive experience managing and engaging team members, implementing and improving processes in a rapidly changing industry and identifying change management projects to transform an organization’s goals, processes and technologies. Dean holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in History and a minor in Political Science from Concordia University
