Dr. Christine Maheu, Associate Professor at the Ingram School of Nursing at McGill University is the co-principal investigator, with Dr. Sophie Lebel from the University of Ottawa on one of three research studies that were awarded grants by the Canadian Cancer Society for a total of $1.7 million in funding.

Drs. Maheu and Lebel received a Quality of Life Research Grant totalling $300,000. In the next three years they will test whether group therapy will help address the fear of recurrence in women diagnosed with breast or gynecological cancers.
