It is once again time to submit nominations for the Maude Abbott and Haile T. Debas prizes.
The Maude Abbott Prize was established in 2010 by the Faculty in order to recognize outstanding female faculty members with academic appointments who excel in Teaching, Research or Administration in the early stages of their career. In order to facilitate fair comparison of nominees, the prize is issued with a special focus each year, with the 2023 focus being research. This prize includes a $10,000 monetary award. The Haile T. Debas Prize, also created in 2010, recognizes a faculty member of any gender or ethnicity who helps manifest the ideals of equity, diversity, inclusion and anti-racism through practical action across a range of possible activities. Nomination packages for either prize must be submitted by the new deadline of Monday, April 24, 2023 using the applicable online form available on the Maude Abbott and Haile T. Debas pages.
