Canadian Women in Global Health (#CWIGH) is a network of women and allies from across the country, spanning all ages, genders, backgrounds, and areas of expertise working towards improved visibility, representation, and leadership of women in global health. Housed at the Canadian Society for International Health, the CWIGH initiative includes the 2018 Canadian Women in Global Health List.
The Call for Nominations for the 2020 Canadian Women in Global Health (#CWIGH) List is now open! The 2020 CWIGH List will build off the 2018 List, highlighting and showcasing Canadian women leaders working at home or abroad, who are working to promote health and health equity for people around the globe.
This year’s edition will include a new Emerging Leaders category with the goal of elevating the work of early to mid-career professionals in the global health space.
We also wish to highlight a broader, more diverse, and inclusive group of Canadian Women experts working in global health, across race, ethnicity, language, and geography as well as other social stratifiers. We are seeking nominations of women leaders from diverse geographies and communities including First Nations, Metis, and Inuit Women, Women of Colour, Francophone Women, and other underrepresented groups.
