A story appearing in the Globe and Mail on October 23 profiles HIVSmart, the app designed by McGIll’s Dr. Nitika Pant Pai and her team. A main objective of the app is to help those most at risk of having contracted HIV self-diagnose with the help of their smart phone, in order to combat the stigma of merely being tested that is common in many places around the globe. Dr. Pant Pai will be testing the app in Canada before bringing it to the developing world.
