Originally from the Philippines, Jorge Manuel earned a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and a Master of Science in Advanced Nursing. During the pandemic, he worked at the Jewish General Hospital’s Emergency Department and is currently an Enlarged Role Nurse at the Cree First Nation of Waskaganish, Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay. 

 

What is your best memory of McGill?  

Clinical rotations in the different McGill-affiliated tertiary hospitals allowed me to explore many medical and nursing specialties. These experiences allowed me to peek into the intricacies of Quebec’s dynamic healthcare system. 

 

What words of advice do you offer the graduating class?  

Embrace being a lifelong learner and build the courage needed to pursue your goals to become the best version of yourself.
