The Department of Medicine is delighted to announce the recruitment of Dr. Annabel Chen-Tournoux to the Jewish General Hospital Division of Cardiology. Dr. Chen-Tournoux obtained her MD at Harvard University, followed by Internal Medicine and Cardiology residencies at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She then completed a Fellowship in Echocardiography also at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Chen-Tournoux worked for three years in Paris as a Senior Program Office for the Leducq Foundation, a private endowment-based foundation supporting research and the development of new technology in cardiac and neurovascular sciences. She continues to work with the Foundation as a Consultant.

Dr. Chen-Tournoux is an expert in echocardiography and in particular strain-based imaging, as well as in cardiometabolic diseases. In addition to her active work in our echocardiography laboratory, she is helping establish a strong cardiology presence in our institution’s Cardiovascular Prevention Center. She has authored 18 peer-reviewed publications and her ongoing research focusses in these two arenas of imaging and cardiometabolic diseases, including obesity.
