Fourteen teams at McGill achieved Bronze, Silver, Gold and/or Platinum certification levels through the Sustainable Workplace Certification program

From June to November 2025, 14 McGill teams advanced their commitment to campus sustainability through the Sustainable Workplace Certification program, an initiative that empowers staff to adopt everyday actions that reduce environmental impact and strengthen workplace well-being. Ten teams achieved Bronze certification, two reached Silver, one earned Gold and one celebrated the program’s highest distinction: Platinum.

This period was marked by a cross-unit effort led by Anne-Marie Fournier, Collections Centre Supervisor at the McGill Library. Her initiative to encourage and support all Library units in becoming certified proved highly successful: every McGill Library unit is now recognized as a certified Sustainable Workplace.
