Congratulations to Marilyn N. Ahun, PhD, a scientist in the Child Health and Human Development (CHHD) Program at The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (The Institute), on her selection as a 2026–2028 Jacobs CIFAR Research Fellow. This prestigious fellowship supports early- and mid-career researchers whose work advances the learning and development of children and youth around the world.
Prof. Ahun’s work focuses on designing, implementing, and evaluating community-driven interventions that promote child development and family well-being, with a particular emphasis on supporting caregivers and addressing gaps in services in Ghana. Her research draws on implementation science, qualitative methods, and interdisciplinary collaboration to understand how parenting practices, mental health, and contextual factors influence early childhood outcomes.
